According to news report, a teenage boy, who has been identified as abdulsamal suleiman, has been apprehended by the police in kano state, after the ghastly killing of his relatives, a 21 year old housewife identified as Rukayya jamilu.
it was stated that, on february 12,2022, the 18-year old suspect visited the victim in her respective house, in danbare quarters, and later smashed her to death with a pestle before running away with her phones.
The reason for this is still not confirmed as our sources, the command"s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the suspect was arrested following a compliant lodged by the deceased victim's husband, who reported that on the fateful day, when he returned home from work, he mjet his wife in a pool of her own blood, motionless on her bed and also his chikdren, aged three and one, were woefully injured.
Haruna said, "Investigaions conducted by the command's Criminal investigation department and DSS led to the arrest of the principal suspect suleiman, and his accomplice, one Mu'azzam lawan, 17.
The thoroughly investigation done, the principal suspect confessed that on 12/02/2022 at about 1600hrs he went to the house of the deceased aa his relative and met her on the bed.
After he greeted her, he saw three mobile phones and took them. having reliazed that , she recognized him, he used a wooden-made pestle and repeatedly hit her on her head and also attacked her two children and left with the phones.
he also confessed that he gave a close friend of his one of the mobile phones which he had stolen and sold the other two at a price of N12,000. His friend was also apprehended to having sold the stolen mobile phone given to him belonging to the deceased.
